Lava has announced that it will unveil its “Made in India” smartphones on January 7, 2021, which will have “evolved and dynamic engineering”. The event will be live-streamed on Lava’s Youtube and Facebook channels starting at 12 PM (noon).
Lava to launch new lineup of ‘Made in India’ phones on January 7
Lava is a renowned name in the Indian mobile circuit, essentially for selling its pocket-friendly feature phones. But the brand is keen on making a comeback in the smartphone space with a new series called the BeU. This phone is targeted at people looking to upgrade to a 4G smartphone. The BeU from Lava features a 6.08-inch HD+ display with support for 720x1560 pixels resolution.
The phone runs on Android 10 Go operating system out of box. It comes powered by octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor that gets paired with 2GB RAM. For storage, you have 32GB onboard that is expandable up to 256GB with the dedicated microSD card slot. For imaging, the phone comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup that includes 13MP and 2MP cameras.
On the front, the phone has 8MP selfie camera that also supports video recording and video calls. BeU packs a 4,060mAh battery that supports charging using the microUSB port. Other features available on the phone are rear fingerprint sensor and 3.5mm headphone jack. Some of the popular Lava mobiles in the market include the Lava Z66, Z61 Pro and the Z41.
The device flaunts a crystal studded dual camera setup on its backside, giving it an elegant finish. It gets a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which is a decent combination considering the price range of the particular gadget. Further, Lava BeU gets android version 10 as its operating system and a fingerprint sensor on the backside.
Display and Camera
Lava BeU showcases a screen size of 6.08 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. The IPS LCD type display of the device comes equipped with a pixel density of 283 PPI and screen to body ratio of 79.44%.
Configuration and Battery
Lava BeU comes loaded with an Octa-core, Cortex A55 processor featuring a functional speed of 1.6GHz. The device is equipped with 2GB RAM, a Unisoc SC9863A chipset and PowerVR GE8322 GPU.
Storage and Connectivity
Lava BeU exhibits internal storage of 32GB which can be extended up to 256GB. The device supports 4G VoLTE network and other connectivity features like USB charging, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi, A-GPS Glonass, Mobile Hotspot, USB OTG.
