Realme X7 series will be launched in India next year, as confirmed by CEO Madhav Sheth on Twitter. The lineup comprises two phones, Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro, that were launched in China at the beginning of September as relatively affordable 5G smartphones. Now, Sheth has shared that the company's plan is to “democratise 5G technology in 2021” in India with the Realme X7 series. As of now, there is no fixed date for the launch but the Realme X7 series can be expected in the first quarter of 2021.

The Realme X7 series India launch will happen in 2021,  the company’s India CEO Madhav Sheth has said on Twitter. The young brand, which was the first to introduce a 5G phone in India with Realme X50 Pro, plans to bring more affordable 5G phones in 2021. Realme X7 series will be the first such affordable 5G model by the brand in India, though more will make their way to the country after that as the company aims to “democratize 5G” in 2021. However, the executive hasn’t divulged more details about the products. Realme X7 series India launch will also mark the entry of MediaTek Dimensity chipsets in the country. However, the exact Realme X7 India launch timeline hasn’t been revealed yet, though we can expect it to be in the first couple of months.

Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro specifications

Realme X7 Pro sports a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC coupled paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone boots Android 10 OS with Realme UI custom skin on top. As for the cameras, the Realme X7 Pro has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a couple of 2MP sensors for macro and black and white shots. There is a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. A 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging fuels the phone.

As for the vanilla Realme X7, the handset sports a relatively smaller 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display but doesn’t support a 120Hz high refresh rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC coupled with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. A 4,300mAh battery with 65W fast charging support fuels the phone. Moving to optics, the Realme X7 has a 64MP quad-camera setup at the back and a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
